WUUKY XI: StarstrUUck

Have you heard of WUUKY? We are not misspelling our favorite star wars
character, we’re referring to the amaaazing experience that is Western
Unitarian Universalist Karmic Youth. From the 1st to the 6th of July,
we’ll be at “StarstrUUck”*** –2012′s con-camp in the Mendecino
Woodlands. Think community, worship, and bonding…with trees! And
showers.

As for logistics: Registration for WUUKY is a little different. You do
not need to email us. Instead you fill out the registration form,
payment, camper covenant, and medical release to Alexa Stefanko (617
Hillsborough Blvd Burlingame, CA 94010). If your registration is
mailed by May 20th, your WUUKY payment is on a sliding scale from
215-260. After that, it goes up to $250-$295. You must register
before June 24th or we cannot guarantee you a place at WUUKY. You can
at that point shoot us an email at deans@wuuky.org and get on the
waiting list. If we are able to let you come, you’ll pay $310 at
WUUKY.

Scholarships are available! Please don’t hesitate to ask for a scholarship if you need one. Email us at deans@wuuky.org as soon as possible. On the other hand, please consider donating to the scholarship/travel fund if you are able. We want to make WUUKY super accessible.

Summer Con

Spirituality Con: CONsciousness

It’s time to register for Spirituality Con! The Con is May 18-20th at
the Unitarian Universalist Church in San Mateo. To register, please
email Phoebe Masterson-Eckhart at registrar@pcdyruu.org, with
your name, congregation affiliation (if any), dietary preference
(vegan, vegetarian, omnivore), and whether you ever attended MUUGS. If
you register by April 6th, you will receive a $10 discount. The
registration deadline is May 13th (the Sunday before the con!). If you
register after it there will be an additional $10 late fee. You may be turned away due to space if you register after May 16th, the Wednesday before the Con. So
please register early! Please bring a filled out registration form and
signed covenant to the Conference along with the appropriate amount of money.

There are a limited number of forms the registrar is able to bring, so
please do not assume there will be an extra for you. The registration
form and covenant can be found here.

Full and partial scholarships are available, so just let Phoebe know if
you need one.

Chaplain Training

This May, PCD YRUU is having a Chaplain Training. A training is a working event. This means that there will not be much free time and none of the normal activities because the weekend will be full of learning about how to be an effective YRUU chaplain! Also, since this is a training, the age range has been expanded to 14-25. Normal conference rules apply. It will take place at the Berkeley Fellowship of UUs from May 25-27th. Instead of having trainers from other districts, this SDT will be lead by two YRUU deans, Abbie Tuning and Alexa Stefanko, as well as two adult deans, Marcus Liefert and Laura Bogle. NUUbies are especially encourage to attend! To register, email Alexa Stefanko. The registration deadline is May 18th. The cost of this training is $70, but register by May 2 for a $10 discount. Registering after May 18th will result in a late fee. Scholarships are always available, just talk to Alexa if you need a full or partial one. You may be turned away if you register after May 23rd, since this is a training, attendance is capped at 45, so please register early to ensure a spot!! The registration form can be found here.
